INTERRELATED LIVES OF JOHN AND JESUS

God intentionally set a six month age difference between John the Baptist and Jesus.  The record in Luke 1:35-36 shows John's mother Elizabeth was already miraculously six months pregnant when Mary first conceived Jesus .

"The angel answered her, "The Holy Spirit will come on you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. Therefore also the holy one which is born from you will be called the Son of God. Behold, Elizabeth, your relative, also has conceived a son in her old age; and this is the sixth month with her who was called barren. (WEB)

            JOHN PREPARES THE WAY

In the spring 29AD John at the age of 30 came out of his wilderness isolation and began his all important priestly preparation work.  God's herald was to prepare the stage and many of the cast.  He had been instructed under spirit direction to separate himself from the various religious divisions of the Jews, Sadducees, Pharisees etc.  Under God's direction he lived isolated in the deserts until the time came for him to address Israel, 

"The child grew, and grew strong in spirit, and was in the desert until the day of his public appearance to Israel" Luke 1:80 (WEB).

Living in the desert with few comforts, clothed in camels hair, eating locusts and wild honey, he separated himself from the Jewish religious system and its traditions, living a solitary life.  As had been prophesied,

"As it is written in the book of the words of Isaiah the prophet, "The voice of one crying in the wilderness, 'Make ready the way of the (Yhwh) Lord. Make his paths straight" Luke 3:4 (WEB) . 

When John reached the age of 30 God immediately directed him to start crying out a witness to Israel.  For six months from April of the year 29 he heralded this message from the wilderness exclusively to the covenanted Jewish people to repent and get ready.  According to John 1:23 he said,

"John replied in the words of Isaiah the prophet, “I am the voice of one calling in the wilderness, ‘Make straight the way for the (Yhwh) Lord." (WEB ).   This cry is already going out today!

John also declared: “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near.” Matthew 3:2 (WEB).  Again this cry is again going out now!

The reason to repent was in order to prepare oneself for the Kingdom, as the start for its construction  had come near.  This lined up individuals for a unique cancelling of their sin as they fell below Gods standards for Sons.  This was all to prepare people for a coming Messiah.

Those who listened, John primed into a group, alerting them to important fast approaching events.  The time was arriving when the long awaited foretold Messiah of Yhwh was to appear.  From the various divisions of the Jewish religion John prepared and steered a responsive group towards the coming 'Messiah' for possible selection for a unique activity.

God had already advertised this special preparation work nearly five hundred years earlier by his prophet Malachi.

"I send my messenger, and he will prepare the way before me; and the Lord, whom you seek, will suddenly come to his temple; and the messenger of the covenant, whom you desire, behold, he comes!" says Yahweh (Yhwh) of hosts" Malachi 3:1 (WEB).

This messenger was compared to the prophet Elijah who lived nearly a thousand years before John. Elijah had worked hard at turning Israelites attitude back to serving Yhwh correctly. In Malachi 4:5-6 it tells us:

"Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the great and terrible day of Yahweh comes. He will turn the hearts of the Father to t(His Sons) ... and the hearts of the (Sons) to their Father, God" (WEB)

The date of John's birth had been meticulously calculated and programmed so that he would be 6 months older than Jesus and so at the age of 30 in position to take on this six month preparation work 

"He will turn many of the children of Israel to (Yhwh) the Lord, their God. He will go before his face in the spirit and power of Elijah, 'to turn the heart of the Father to (His Sons) and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for the Lord." Luke 1:16-17 (WEB).

JOHN'S "ELIJAH" ACTIVITY

A further part of John's assignment was to warn the apostate Jewish religious system that the axe was already in position to chop it down.  John prophesied  " Even now the ax also lies at the root of the trees. Every tree therefore that doesn't bring forth good fruit is cut down, and thrown into the fire." Luke 3:9 (WEB) .

John informed his followers that a far more important person than himself with greater rank and power would follow him, who would baptise with fire and spirit, separating people for selection by God.  Yhwh instructed John to offer responding Jews something that up until then had not been done before, water baptism. A token symbolic act by individuals of a regretful attitude toward their previous transgressions of the Mosaic Law, failing to live up to its conditions.  Baptism was a public demonstration of an individual's repentant attitude over sins committed against the covenant, it did not remove their sins or wash them away.  It prepared them by lifting their heads and turning their hearts back to an appreciation of God in readiness to see His coming saving means, the Christ, who would be able to remove sin.  The Abraham 2,000 year contract was about to mature with benefits, individuals needed to sort themselves out in regard to the conditions and benefits of this contract. God directed John to offer baptism as a means of doing this.

GOD PROVIDED JOHN WITH PRIVILEGED INFORMATION

John "said: “On the next day, he saw Jesus coming to him, and said, "Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world! John 1:29 (WEB).  He was able to link the sacrificial Passover lamb to the removing of the entire worlds substandard condition (sin).

"This is he of whom I said, 'After me comes a man who (has advanced )  before me, for he (existed) before me.’ John 1:30 (WEB).   He must have been given information on Jesus prehuman existence.  God promised to give John a sign to look for so he could positively identify this coming Son of God, the Messiah as he said:

“ I didn't know him, but for this reason I came baptizing in water: that he would be revealed to Israel."John testified, saying, "I have seen the Spirit descending like a dove out of heaven, and it remained on him. I didn't (know who) ..., but He who sent me to baptize in water, he said to me, 'On whoever you will see the Spirit descending, and remaining on him, the same is he who baptizes in the Holy Spirit.'I have seen, and have testified that this is the Son of God." John 1:31-34 (WEB).

Six months after John, Jesus reached the age of 30, and so qualified to start his priestly duties.  His opening appointment on the world stage had now arrived, confirmed directly by God at his unique baptism in October of the year 29, exactly 6 months after John started his preparation baptism work.  Johns identifying sign also had audible confirmation.

 "and the Holy Spirit descended in a bodily form, as a dove on him; and a voice came out of the sky, saying "You are my beloved Son. In you I am well pleased (I have approved you)" Luke 3:22 (WEB) .

Some two months after baptising Jesus, John started handing over his specially 'prepared' disciples to him, identifying Jesus as the great sacrificial Passover lamb that would remove Adamic sin and its death dealing effects from the world, 

"On the next day, he saw Jesus coming to him, and said, "Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!" John 1:29 (WEB).

Approximately a year later in the summer of 30 John was imprisoned by Herod.  By then his advertising and preparation work had been completed.  The 500 year old prophecy of Malachi  had been fulfilled.

""Behold, I send my messenger, and he will prepare the way before me; and the Lord, whom you seek, will suddenly come to his temple; the messenger of the covenant, whom you desire, behold, he comes!" says Yahweh." Malachi 3:1 (WEB)

While John was in prison some months before he was executed Jesus confirmed the importance of John's assignment.   He said John's work up until then was the most important that had ever been done by anybody on God's behalf.  No one had served God in a greater capacity than John the Baptist, including men who were friends of God such as Noah, Abraham, and Moses, such was the importance of John's assignment.  Nevertheless, Jesus pointed out he would not be one of those specially selected for the Kingdom government as all would hold higher rank than him, 

"Most assuredly I tell you, among those who are born of women there has not arisen anyone greater than John the Baptizer; yet he who is least in the Kingdom of Heaven is greater than he" Mat 11:11 (WEB). 

 Jesus understood, according to God's script, that John the Baptist would be dead before the new Kingdom contract opened at Pentecost of the year 33.  This took the opportunity out of John's time frame otherwise John would certainly have been one of the first in line for inclusion.

It seems John was aware that he would not be part of the "Bride" group of Kingdom selected ones.  As he referred to himself as being a friend of the bridegroom when he said -

"He who has the bride is the bridegroom; but the friend of the bridegroom, who stands and hears him, rejoices greatly because of the bridegroom's voice. This, my joy, therefore is made full" John 3:29 (WEB).  

When John heard about the things Jesus was saying and doing he enjoyed a great deal of pleasure and felt completely happy with it.

John's life was entirely tied up with Jesus.  His preparation work the most important carried out by anyone; up until that time, no one had done a greater work on God's behalf than John, ref John the Baptist's Ministry. A major prophecy Jesus pronounced, was that another future John the Baptist would carry out  preparation and baptism work in our 21st century. Herod beheaded John around March 32 after he had been in prison for almost 2 years. In the summer of 32AD Jesus disciples asked him: "Why do the scribes say that Elijah must come first?" (WEB).

Jesus answered them, "Elijah indeed comes first, and will restore all things, (future tense) but I tell you that Elijah has come already, and they didn't recognize him, (past tense) but did to him whatever they wanted to. Even so will the Son of Man also suffer by them."Then the disciples understood that he spoke to them of John the Baptizer" Mat 17:11-13 (WEB).

Comparison -  “(Jesus) answered, “On the one hand, Eliyahu is coming and will restore all things; (future tense) on the other hand, I tell you that Eliyahu has come already, and people did not recognize him (past tense)”(CJB).

A FUTURE JOHN THE BAPTIST WORK

21.
In 2BC, Jesus, while in the womb, passed power to John in readiness for his special assignment; this created a leaping reaction in John, while in Elizabeth’s womb.  Two thousand years later in 1999, a power generated leap in understanding the Kingdom's timetable took place according to this prophetic pattern.  By 1999, understanding that both the Abraham and Kingdom contracts each last 2,000 years and run consecutively had been understood.  That the second Kingdom contract that commenced in 33 would end after 2000 years in 2033, when all Kingdom recruiting will have had to have been completed.  This along with new announcements, were posted on the world Internet.  Lights were beginning to be turned on in dark places;  these Elijah announcements will alert individuals throughout the Christian world.

This second John the Baptist preparation work also takes place from a quarantined “wilderness” like situation, separated from all Christian religions ref Second John Baptist. As John, started his preparation work in April 29, so we can expect 2,000 years later the modern ‘John the Baptist’ to, again carry out dedication  baptisms for six months from April 2029 (29 + 2,000 years).  This again involves readying followers for Kingdom preparation, not this time from covenanted Judaism, but from the Christian covenant claiming religions.  Misleading understandings caused by false teachings straightened out, obstacles caused by religious traditions removed.  Information on God’s developing plans will smooth the approach to the Messiah's second recruiting activity.  Good news from God about the Kingdom's timetable will be publicised  with announcements on order to get ready for the Kingdom of the heavens is close.

23.
Individuals will be able to prepare with the assistance of the late spirit rain which will again start to fall on receptive minds opening them up  by the power of the spirit, ref Early and late rain. They acquire new understanding on the Kingdom timetable and the date for Jesus second presence, October 2029. Changing past erroneous attitudes and actions, taking a positive position to starting a new life, one leading to forgiveness of their death causing sin and non ending life.  During the 6 months from April to October 2029 the baptism of Christ into his death will be validated by God and made available to them. Those who undergo this baptism  will transfer under Jesus care during his presence with them from October 2029.  It is not possible through man’s independent ability to fully understand this ‘new wine’ of  Kingdom concepts, it is only able to be comprehended by God’s power opening the mind, as was the case 2,000 years earlier  “Then he opened their minds, that they might understand the Scriptures” Luke 24:45 (WEB).

24.

John fulfilled the Elijah preparation work that God arranged in the first century.   Jesus prophesied another Elijah work to come in the future ref Second John Baptist.  Again, announcing and preparing individuals for the second presence of Jesus in October 2029 in connection with the Kingdom contract. Now! from April 2026 this second John will be announcing and preparing many today, will you be one of them?
